XBags Case Carrying SystemProvided By: CaseCooler Do you like to attend LAN parties but hate carrying your case around? I know I hate walking up stairs with my case in both arms or even worse trying to open a door while holding a case. That is why I looked into buying a case carrying system. CaseCooler.com carries the XBags line, so I asked them for a chance to review one. They sent me XBags CTSS bag for large cases like my Antec case.
XBags are made from high strength industrial nylon, Velcro, plastic, and aluminum. The fasteners are made from cast aircraft aluminum and spring-loaded carabiners. Military grade solid-fibre reinforced plastic buckles and thick military grade webbing secure and protect the case in the XBag. The above picture shows the strap's metal locking system. There are no worries that the strap will become unbuckled when the computer is in transit. To unlock the strap, the spring loaded fastener must physically be pushed in. The XBag is designed to securely carry your case as well as protect it. The straps are sewn together along the full length of the bag. This ensures that the straps will not rip away from the bag through wear and tear. When carrying a case in your arms it was hard not to scratch it because of bumping into walls and doors. The nylon bag protects your case from scratches when carrying the case and when laying the case down in the trunk of your car.
The CTSS Xbag includes two side pockets, one for the keyboard and one for cables, mouse, and other miscellaneous items. The pockets are lined with a smooth webbing that caps off the quality of the bag. My Microsoft Natural Keyboard did not quite fit in the keyboard pouch as shown in the above picture. I am used to this keyboard not fitting anywhere by now. My mouse, network cables, power cables, and video cable fit easily into the second side pocket. A Velcro strap holds the front and back of the case in the bag. The full strap is Velcro, not just a small piece. This strap holds very snug and will not come undone during transit. The shoulder strap made the case easy to carry. The strap is well padded, so even with my heavy case, 50lbs or so, it did not cut into my shoulder. I could carry a case with an XBag all day long without a problem. The first time I carried my case in the XBag I was scared to death. Nothing like strapping a case over your shoulder and fearing that the strap would break while walking up stairs. The XBag gained my confidence quickly as it held tight to my case. Conclusion: The XBag was designed with quality in mind. The CTSS makes carrying a large case easy. The XBag is a must have for anyone that packs up and carries their case around on a regular basis.
