Aizen RoadRunner Bluetooth CommunicatorDescription: At first glance, Aizen's RoadRunner Bluetooth Communicator resembles a single earpiece over-the-head headset that you usually envision telemarketers wearing. The RoadRunner features a round open ended flexible band with an oddly shaped angled rubber cap at one end and what appears to be the casing of a standard Bluetooth headset at the other end. The casing features basically everything that a standard Bluetooth headset has: a power/call button on the front surrounded by the status LEDs, volume up and down buttons on the top and bottom sides, and a charging port at the rear. The only things not on the casing are a speaker and a microphone.
Extending out of the back of the headset casing is a bungee coiled cord with an earbud style earpiece attached to the end. The oddly shaped angled rubber cap on the opposite end of the round flexible band houses the microphone.
A USB charging cable is included allowing the RoadRunner to be charged from a computer's USB port. A USB to AC adapter is also included which allows for charging from an AC outlet. Lastly, both a Quick Start Guide as well as more detailed User Guide are included.
How It Works: Instead of being worn on the head, the Aizen RoadRunner Bluetooth Communicator is actually worn around the neck – with the microphone pressing (slightly) over where your larynx would be. The earbud earpiece would of course be worn in one ear. This unorthodox design achieves two main things. One, because only a small earbud is worn in your ear instead of the whole headset, things such as glasses, beanies, helmets, and even earmuffs can be worn along with the RoadRunner. Second, with this design, the microphone picks up your voice from your larynx through your neck instead of from somewhere around your cheek (as with most other headsets). This, combined with Aizen's patent Zen noise cancelling technology would practically eliminate all levels of background noise!
