As I've pointed out in previous reviews, Evercool is no stranger to the "cooling scene." Evercool, based in Taiwan, has been providing heatsink solutions for both AMD and Intel platforms for years. With their factory production values around 2.5 million pieces per month, they're one to watch. Enough talk lets take a look at the Evercool's stylish CUW8-715 heatsink and fan.

First Look:

Packaging was quite adequate, a blister pack surrounds the heatsink providing plenty of protection from shipping damage. The HSF arrived in perfect shape with the Magic Cooler.

Out of it's retail packaging, you see what comes along with the HSF. The retail pack includes mounting clips for the P4. Also, included with Evercool's CUW8-715 HSF is a nice sized syringe of Evercool's own silicone based thermal grease. In case you are wondering about instructions, the installation manual is actually printed on the packaging.

The cooler looks good and comes with Evercool's own EC7015M12CA ball bearing fan, which is mounted with four screws that screw directly into the fan shroud.

While Evercool rates this fan at less than 34dBA, a cross check reveals that it is actually rated at less than 28dBA. It's nice to see a company that doesn't overrate their products to entice sales. Once again - great effort Evercool!

The fan blades are painted a nice shiny golden color. Protecting your precious digits and the blades themselves is smart looking plastic fan guard. I really like the fan grill, it's a welcome addition. For extra added visual appeal, there is also a design painted onto the shroud sides.
