This is the best packaged case I have seen. Most cases come in a brown box that might have a logo printed on them. CasEdge's Diabolic case has its own box. Graphics of the case are on the outside along with information about the case's top features. The custom box is shrunk wrap from CasEdge. Not sure it was necessary to shrink wrap the box but at least the box was not going to break open and spill its contents. The restraint straps are a nice touch as well. They are Velcro, no tin snips here. A handle at the top of the box makes it easy to carry into your home. Of course, I picked up on the handle expecting the case to be light weight. Nope, this computer case is very heavy for a mid tower ATX. Not a great case to carry around to LAN parties. Then again the back pain might be worth it for these looks.
Open the box and you will find that inside the box, the Diabolic computer case is secured with soft molded Styrofoam. The Styrofoam provides notches at the top to grab hold of and pull the case out of the box. Harder Styrofoam packing that I have seen other cases use would have snapped off under the weight of the case. Another back saving process, thank you CasEdge.

Outside:
Out of the box, the observer notices the protective plastic on the 5 1/4 bay covers and on the window. The bay covers on the Diabolic Case look red, but in fact they are a two toned red with a shade of reflective plastic molded in. This creates a sweet look Actually, the whole front of the case is sweet looking. It is molded out of plastic and has some weight to it. Horns run up the front sides and LEDs are hidden behind clear plastic slits causing the front of the case to look like a demonic creature. It is very close.
Lift up the teeth at the bottom and you will find plenty of front ports. There are 4 USB ports, an audio in, an audio out, and a IEEE 1394 Fire Wire port.
Even the feet of this case are themed, making the case more creature like. Instead of boring round case feet, these feet look like web toes. I noticed that with the feet in, the case wobbles and almost falls over if bumped. On other computer cases like Chenming, these feet are spread father out when they are folded in, so if you do not fold them outward the case is fairly balanced. The Diabolic case's feet are at the very center of the case, causing the slight wobble. |
