CPU cooling is an important factor to consider for anyone who
owns a PC. The internal case temperatures can greatly influence
the stability of your system, especially if your CPU cooler is
not very efficient. Eumax seems to have a winner
with this latest offering.
For those of you with overheating issues, you may wish to pick
something like this up. The 80mm fan pushes enough air to keep
even the most choked systems stable. While you are at it, you may
wish to improve your airflow with neater wiring, or more case fans.
The Eumax EU-0702 will take care of the CPU just fine.
In summary the Eumax EU-0702 performed rather well, had a decent
base finish, and had some great looks. The rough base may be what
is
holding
this cooler back from greatness. On the other hand, a larger copper
insert also could have done something to help the heat transfer
to the distal aluminum fins. Despite these minor shortcomings the
unit performs slightly better than expected, and quite nicely for
its price range and demographic. If you come across one of these
and think that it fits your bill don’t hesitate to pick it
up!
Pros:
- Nice fan
- Weight
- Triple clips
- Decent thermal grease included
Cons:
- Less than perfect base finish
- Small copper insert
- Wobbly bracket design
