Case Modding. The fact that you are reading this
review means you have heard of it, or maybe even done it. The
term case modding is not just limited to cutting cases; it refers
any
physical change or enhancement to your computer. Things
like switching plain fans with LED fans, replacing flat IDE cables
to rounded ones, or adding a cold cathode lamp; are
considered case mods.
Attempting to make modding even more mainstream,
Memorex has released a line of computer modification productions
appropriately titled Modz. This review will be looking at three
of the initially released 24 products: a Modz fan, Modz light,
and Modz cable.

Packaging:
Each item is packaged in a plastic
and cardboard retail display package that protects the items from
damage. The top of the cardboard is purple for about an inch
down and has the Memorex logo in it, while the rest of the cardboard
is yellow. On the front of each package, "Modz" and "Hook-ups
for your PC" are displayed.

The words "clear", "Glowing LED
fan" are also printed across the top of the LED fan's package.
Three main features of the LED fan are listed to the right of the
plastic where
the fan
is enclosed.
For the cold cathode light, there is a display paper inside the
plastic that describes the light. The main description t is
a blue,
single cold cathode light kit.
For the IDE round cable, there is a display paper outside the
plastic enclosure that describes the cable. Mainly the description
states that the cable is a silver
18" round,
dual device IDE cable.
