Though computer mice are a dime a dozen, that does
not mean you have to settle for a bad one; especially if you're
a gamer. To maximize their gaming experience, gamers need a mouse
that's accurate, responsive, and not to mention comfortable.
Keeping that in mind, here is the latest gaming mouse from Razer,
the Viper.

Packaging:
I received the Viper for review before it was for
sale; therefore, it did not arrive in its retail package. My review
unit includes the Viper enclosed in a bubble wrap bag inside the
LAN-pak, which will be discussed towards the end. Also included
with the viper
are a driver CD, a postcard introducing the Viper, and a list
of its features.

The Viper is made of dark red transparent plastic
with the top half smooth and the bottom textured. Non-slip side
rails, a strip of clear rubber, are on left
and right side.
Taking up more than half of the top of the mouse
are two ultra large Non-slip black buttons. These buttons have
a velvet texture that feels awesome. Although, I feel the
texture will wear over time.
Between the two buttons exists a white, semi-transparent, standard
size scroll wheel.

bottom of the mouse has three round Teflon feet:
two at the front and one at the back. Towards the middle is an
oval hole where the optical sensor sees through. The Viper mouse
uses standard red LEDs to illuminate the optical sensor’s
view. This red glow can be seen through the mouse’s transparent
body.
A black USB cord runs out the front and is a lengthy seven feet.
It ends with a gold plated USB plug. Since USB transmits data
and electricity thorough the four pins, the USB plug’s outer
gold plated frame will minimize chances of corrosion. It also
looks really cool.

From the side view, the Viper resembles its namesake's head. Designed
symmetrical down the middle, it can be comfortably used with both
the left and right hand.
