In the past, all computer cases looked pretty much
the same. About the only thing that made one case different from
another was its shade of beige. Nowadays,
the variations in computer case features are almost as
vast as the number of different car models on the road.
Today,
cases have features like windows, lights, and bright neon paint
jobs. Though
cases containing those things look totally awesome, not
everyone wants giant nightlights for computers. In some
settings
like professional environments, those features would not
be appropriate. They become distractions and may attract unwanted
attention.
Just because you do not want your computer to be flashy or
revealing,
does not mean that the computer case needs to be boring.
The Temjin SST-TJ01 from SilverStone
will provide your computer with a sophisticated look that
is appropriate in any setting.

Packaging:
Black medieval graphics decorates the Temjin's brown
shipping box. The top of the box features a shield
with
a
banner below it reading "Temjin". On the sides of the
case is a black eagle and the company name. Inside the box, the
case is held in place by two pieces
of
Styrofoam
with
a box
of
accessories
sitting on top. To protect
from scratches, the case is enclosed in a plastic bag.

The most noticeable feature about the Temjin is the thick aluminum
door that covers the whole front of the case. This door has a black
column running down to the left of the vents on the bottom
center. A shining SilverStone logo is present on the top right
corner of the door. To keep the door closed magnets are used. Unfortunately,
the door is pretty heavy and the magnet does a weak job holding
it closed.

the door to reveal a very sexy looking case front with all the
front features you come to expect from a case and then some. There
are
six 5.25" and two 3.5" bays covered with brushed
aluminum bezels that would make any stealthers drool. Of course
stealthing drives on this case is rather redundant.

is a metal screen filter for the front intake fans. To the left
of the 3.5" bays are the power and reset buttons. Below
those are the power and hard drive activity LEDs.

Moving past the front, the top and two side panels are black
with a shinny mirror coating. Both side panels are identical,
making them interchangeable. The "front" USB, Firewire,
MIC and speaker jacks are actually located on the aluminum part
of the right side of the case. The rest of the case is made from
steel.

included, on the top. Below that on the left is the ATX plate that
of course can be punched out and fitted with one that matches
your motherboard if necessary. To the right of the ATX plate are
vents for the rear exhaust fan. This vent is shaped like fan blades.
Below the vent are punch out spots for parallel,
serial, and game ports. Finally, rounding out the back is the seven
expansion slots that are all covered by punch out covers.
