Our mouse is our life blood when it comes to playing
games and navigating the computer. Any way to enhance using a mouse
makes us better. Optical mice have made us look for texture and
reflectiveness over a pretty picture on a rubber pad. That is why
gaming pads are all the rage now. X-Ray produces the Thunder line
of gaming pads to aid our experiences with a mouse. This review
will look at the Thunder 8 gaming pad and Zero Friction mousekates
for the mouse.

UPS dropped off a large padded envelope on my door
step. No need to worry about the insides getting damaged for they
are sturdy mouse pads.

Another reason not to worry is because the Thunderpad 8 comes
packaged in a metal tin. The tin is surrounded with a thin sheet
of foam wrap. I assume this is to protect it from scratches. A
bunch of sunken dots make up an "X" to represent the
"X" in X-Ray. In the middle of the tin is the company
name.

Opening the tin reveals even more foam. This foam covers the
Thunder 8. Removing it reveals the Thunder 8 securely sitting
in another firm piece of foam.
