Bluetake BT510 Bluetooth Mini MouseDescription:
Bluetake's BT510 Mini Mouse has a radically different physical design than Bluetake's previous Bluetooth mouse, the BT500. Ironically, the BT510 is subtitled a mini mouse even though it is slightly larger than the BT500 (which was only subtitled as a Bluetooth mouse). Whereas the BT500 has a curvy body, the BT510 mouse has a modern techno linear look. It has a beetle-like top with left and right buttons smoothly integrated with the entire top left and right panels, respectively.
The top side of the mouse has a shiny finish which looks very nice, though it attracts finger prints quite easily. In between the buttons at the front edge is a rubbery scroll wheel. The scroll wheel has a flat rim compared to the slightly convex rims that most scroll wheels have.
The bottom of the mouse features four slick Teflon feet, an on/off switch, a pairing button, and the optical sensor keyhole cutout. The optical sensor is offset to the right (or left when looking at the mouse up side down).
Also, on the bottom of the mouse at the back is the battery compartment's locking switch. Undoing the switch allows the entire top to be removed, exposing the mouse's two AAA battery compartment.
On the front right corner of the BT510 mouse is a DC port which is meant to accept the included USB power cable. This cable features a male type A USB plug on one end and a DC plug on the other end. It allows the BT510 mouse to draw power from a USB port, turning BT510 it into a makeshift corded mouse. The cable only provides power to the mouse; data is still being transmitted via Bluetooth.
Another item included with the BT510 mouse is a black carrying pouch. This pouch has a cleaning cloth like texture and is used to clean the mouse's shiny surface.
Other things that come with the mouse are two alkaline AA batteries, a Quick Setup Guide, and a utility CD. The utility CD contains PDF versions of the Quick Setup Guide in 6 different languages.
