Cooler Master CM StackerExterior: The CM Stacker is by no means a conservative sized case. Standing a towering 536mm tall, this is one of the biggest cases available today. The exterior of the case is almost all brushed bare aluminum. Though the packaging shows the CM Stacker with other color options, Cooler Master currently only has the CM Stacker available in this silver aluminum form.
The front of the CM Stacker consists of eleven 5.25" bays. Each bay is covered by a black perforated bezel. The top bezel has a 3.5" cutout to accommodate an exposed 3.5" drive. Each bezel snaps out by pushing from the inside of the case. With the exception of the top bezel, the inside of each bezel has a rectangular black foam filter. With eleven drive bays, the CM Stacker can handle just about any and all fan controller, bay mounted cooling system, system blower, temperature display, hard drive cooler, rack, and oh yeah – optical drive.
At the top front, above all the drive bezels, is the movable front control panel. The control panel features six USB ports, Firewire port, speaker port, microphone port, reset button, HDD LED, power button and LED. This control panel can be moved to occupy any of the other 11 bays.
The top of the CM Stacker features a square perforated vent in the middle and a parabolic plastic cap at the front. This cap is silver with a black inner semicircle that has Cooler Master printed on it in gray. The front top edge of the case has the CM Stacker logo/name indent.
The left side of the CM Stacker features a perforated circle grill with a diameter of 30cm. This circle is about center, slightly offset to the back of the case. The right side of the case has a long rectangular section that is perforated. The bottom of the case features yet another long rectangular perforated vent and four black plastic feet with gold rims and rubber bases. Perfect for over an air-conditioning vent.
The back of the CM Stacker features the usual assortments: an I/O shield, 7 expansion slots and covers, and a circular vent for the rear 120mm exhaust fan. In addition, there are two power supply bays: one at the top where most cases would have one and one at the bottom. Each bay is covered by a punch out cover that can accommodate two 80mm fans.
Two PSU plates are included; the plate attaches to the back of the power supply and secures it to the PSU bay. The plates are symmetric allowing a PSU to be installed up side down if one desires. Each of the two side panels have handles at the back for easy removal and are each secured by two thumb screws.
