Corepad Magna BlueA Closer Look: Corepad's mousepad is a nice 12.4" long x 10" wide x 0.2" thick pad, and it weighs in at a hefty 1 pound 11.2 ounces. Pretty impressive for a mousepad at any rate. As you can see, Corepad has put a nice logo right on the pad for all to see.
The bulk of the pattern atop the pad is made of a lot of little holes called "fencing". Fencing is branded right into the glass, and Corepad promises it is a very hard wearing surface. So hard wearing in fact, they give you a three year wear of guarantee. Pretty impressive!
The mousepad would slide around your desktop if there wasn't something stopping it. This is where the nonskid pad comes into play. This pad is the same size as the mousepad, and provides a nice sticky surface for the safetyglass to rest. I had no problems at all with the mousepad sliding around.
There isn't much to say about installing skatez. Just cut to fit your mouse feet, and stick them on. Pretty simple. These are touted to provide another layer of "slideability" to the effectiveness of the mousepad, and are simply made from teflon tape.
I had absolutely zero hangups or skips while using the pad. The backing worked excellent on my keyboard tray and everything stayed put quite nicely. Noticeably, there were no jitters from my mouse, which was surprising considering the glass construction.
Conclusion: I liked the size and weight of this pad. Styling
wasn't bad, and the skatez add a little value to the price. Whether
you're a mousing or PhotoShop junkie, or even a casual user that's
at your desk a lot, this mousepad just may be "the one" for you.
It's nice and smooth, plus provides very good tracking. Though
it may seem a bit pricey at first, the three year guarantee is
just icing on the cake.
