Dynamic Gaming Duo: Raptor-Gaming M2 Gaming Mouse and MyStify Claw Game ControllerRaptor-Gaming M2 Description and Design: The Raptor-Gaming M2 mouse follows a recent wave of 1600 DPI gaming mice, namely the Logitech MX518 and Razer Diamondback. Taking notes from those two mice, M2 attempts to combine features from both the MX518 and Diamondback, while adding some special features of its own.
One feature I particularly loved about the Razer Diamondback was its velvet textured main buttons. The M2 mouse has taken that great feeling texture and used it on the entire mouse body – from top to bottom!
A very special thing that Logitech's MX518 mouse features is two dedicated buttons which allow you to change the mouse sensor resolution on the fly. Partially learning from Logitech, the M2 mouse features a single dedicated sensor resolution adjustment button (located below the scroll wheel) which allows you to toggle through 8 different DPI settings (400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1600, 2000, and 2400). The Raptor-Gaming M2 mouse is ergonomically designed for maximum comfort for the right hand. On the right side of the mouse is a small curved "wing" which allows your right pinky to rest on. I particularly appreciate this design for I have been using the Razer Diamondback for a while now and I have noticed that my pinky gets dragged around quite annoyingly.
On the left side of the mouse are two smooth gray thumb buttons. The black scroll wheel at the top of the mouse features a higher than usual, 30 clicks per revolution. In addition to the standard vertical scrolling, the scroll wheel also features a side scrolling function. This function allows you to scroll horizontally by simply tilting the wheel left or right.
The bottom of the M2 mouse features four slick round rubber feet. Two sets of replacement feet are graciously included with the mouse. Extending out of the front is a 2.5 meter cord with a standard USB connector at the end.
The M2 mouse is equipped with a few completely unique features never before seen in a computer mouse. One feature is the aforementioned 2400 DPI optical sensor – that is 50% more than the two previous DPI champs! Additionally, the M2 mouse has 20g of acceleration, compared to the 15g of the MX518 and Diamondback, according to M2's product page.
Another feature unique to the M2 is the ability to add weights to make it heavier. Included with the mouse are 10 and 20 gram weights. The back half of the top of the mouse can be removed to reveal a special compartment which can accept either (but not both) of the included weights. The mouse by itself weighs 110 grams. Therefore, depending on which weight you add, the mouse's weight can be bumped up to either 120 or 130 grams.
