Bluetooth Headphones and Audio Adapters from ever-EDescription for Adapters (A371 and A375): As mentioned in the intro, cell phones with both Bluetooth and media playback can pair with Bluetooth headphones without an extra adapter. In the ideal future, all of our favorite portable media players would have Bluetooth built-in as well. Unfortunately, that is currently not the case and in order to use a Bluetooth headphone with an audio device, an adapter is needed. ever-E's product line offers no shortage of Bluetooth audio adapters. For this review, I choose to examine their A371 iPod dock adapter and A375 PSP adapter.
The A371 is a Bluetooth adapter for the iPod that fits into the iPod's dock connector. The adapter is very compact; roughly the size of two Starbursts. The front of the adapter has a single power/pairing button accompanied by a function LED. A charging port is located at the bottom of the adapter.
In addition to transmitting hi-fi audio to a Bluetooth headphone, the A371 also supports AVRCP which allows an AVRCP capable headphone (such as the T901s and T902s) to have basic controls over the iPod. Such basic controls include pausing and playing, skip forward and back tracks, and turning off the iPod. While they are by no means meant to replace the iPod's scroll wheel for navigating through the iPod's interface, being able to perform those simple functions from the headphone is very convenient, especially when the iPod is stashed away inside a pocket or bag.
The A375 adapter is designed especially for the PSP. The lengthy adapter is shaped to streamline with the bottom of the PSP. The top of the adapter has a gold 3.5mm plug at one end. The bottom of the adapter has a single power/pairing button accompanied by a function LED. A charging port is located at the back of the adapter.
