They are common because every computer has one. Hard drives are also a cheap form of storage and easy to install. But as easy as they are to install and remove, it could be easier. How about doing so without going into the computer case? While we are at it, how about adding security and cooling to protect the drive? You might think that this exists only with a server's hot-swappable RAID configuration.</p> <p align="left"> The Vantec EZ-Swap offers all of the above features. The EZ-Swap is a removable hard drive rack with a built-in cooling fan that fits any IDE 3.5" hard drive. Don't let the word removable scare you, it is only removable when you want to remove it.
