Of course, everyone knows that a hard drive is very
important when you want to store lots of data. Many people forget
or don't understand that a hard drive is the biggest bottleneck
in a computer. A fast hard drive allows you to load the OS quicker,
save files faster, load programs quicker, access swap files faster,
etc.., etc.. With speed in mind, let's find out how fast the Samsung
SP1213C SATA 150MB drive is.

Geeks wrapped the Samsung SATA drive in 5 inches of
bubble wrap. This is very unusual for them. Normally, Geeks prefers
air bags for cushioning, which probably isn't the right choice for
making sure a hard drive stays put during transit.

Better yet, the drive was securely enclosed in a plastic
package. This package had bubble out-dents to cushion impact incase
the drive was slammed around.

Samsung's SATA hard drive comes with a serial ATA
power cable adapter, instructions, screws, and the drive. The serial
power adapter is a nice bonus for some drives are missing this;
therefore, it must be purchased separately or hopefully, included
with your PSU.
One great thing about hard drive companies, they love
specifications. I don't think I can say anything different that
hasn't been listed in the specifications, so onto the testing.
