Bytecc LANDISK NAS Hard Drive EnclosureProvided By: Bytecc Nowadays, it is not uncommon for a household to have multiple computers. Furthermore, rather than having each computer isolated, those computers are most likely networked together; sharing everything from Internet connections to printers and, of course, data.
One device that makes data even easier to share on a network is an external NAS hard drive. Just as a router allows you to share a single Internet connection without the need for any particular computer to be on, a NAS (which stand for Network Attached Storage) hard drive allows you to share a drive full of data without needing any particular computer to be on. As the availability and popularity of NAS drives continue to rise, NAS enclosures are becoming more available as well. A NAS enclosure allows you to turn any hard drive, old or new, into an external NAS drive. One example is the LANDISK enclosure from Bytecc, which is the subject of this review. Packaging: Bytecc's LANDISK comes packaged in a full colored glossy retail box. The front of the box has a 3/4th shot of the enclosure along with a brief listing of its main features. Also on the front is an icon list of features.
The left side of the box contains the contents list as well as specifications list. The back of the box features brief descriptions of the LANDISK's four main features.
Inside, the LANDISK enclosure is enclosed in a plastic bag. All the included accessories are separately packaged around the enclosure.
