Evercool Notebook Pad NP-101Provided by: Evercool Using a temperature probe, I measured the temperature of my Compaq Centrino laptop from the bottom. At full load after being on for a couple of hours, temperatures reached 85F to 90F. These temperatures can quickly become a major annoyance to anyone with a laptop sitting in their lap. That is why Evercool produces their laptop cooler, Notebook Pad NP-101.
Packaging: Evercool's Notebook Pad NP-101 comes in a black cardboard box. Cardboard cutouts hold the unit in place during shipping. The Notebook Pad is sturdy enough not to break while being shipping and it shouldn't for it has to take the abuse when dragged around with a laptop.
When I opened the box, I was surprised to see only two things in inside, the cooler and a USB cable. I’m used to seeing AC adapters and tons of cords that go everywhere whenever I open anything computer related. Even though it may not seem like there is much in the box, it’s more than enough to do what it needs to do. Features: Manufacturer rated specs for Evercool's Notebook Pad NP-101 as listed on their web site www.evercool.com.tw
First Look:
The laptop cooler houses four fans and has the ability to control the speeds of each fan at anytime for any situation you require. High is obviously for when you need maximum cooling on the laptop. Low is for when you need maximum silence. As you see from the picture, a laptop with widescreen or a wider than normal profile will hang over the cooler a little. |
