The back of the case has all the features you would find on a standard case, such as a power supply cutout, I/O plate, rear exhaust fan vents, and expansion slots. It can accept a standard ATX power supply; this is why the case is as tall as it is. This piece is secured by four screws on the back of the case. This allows the Silverstone LC10-M to handle just about any RAID or multi drive setup that you can throw at it. Below the 5.25" drive bay is a removable single 3.5" drive cage. </a> <a href="lcm10_case/werq">Next to the 5.25" bay is a removable three 3.5" drive cage. Noticeably absent on the case is an external 3.5" drive bay. This is perhaps an indirect way of saying floppy and zip drives have no place on a HTPC.</p> <p>Unfortunately, the Lascala does not employ any tool-less designs. In addition to the case cover being secured with standard screws, the expansion slots and drive bays all use standard screws.</p> <p align="center"><a href="atruereview/lcm10_case/10.jpg"><img src="atruereview/lcm10_case/10th.jpg" width="250" height="91" border="0" alt="SilverStone Silverstone LC10-M HTPC Case"></a><br> <font size="-1">Click on image for larger picture</font></p> <p>Cooling of the Silverstone LC10-M is handled by two rear 60mm exhaust fans and a single front 80mm intake fan. The front intake fan is mounted to the case with screws and covered with a 92mm fan cage. Naturally, this means the 80mm fan can be swapped for a 92mm fan if one desires. The 80mm fan is rated at 21dBA while the 60mm fans are rated at 25dBA. All together, the case puts out a medium high whirl that is noticeable in a quiet room. It gets quickly drowned out when music or videos start playing. The rear fans use 3-pin plugs (each), while the front fan has a Molex plug.
