MGE Quantum CaseProvided by: MGE Started back in 1990, MGE hasn't made their name in high end computer cases until now. When people look at high end computer cases, they expect and deserve quality. Well, today I got my mitts on a MGE Quantum case and it not only exudes quality, but oozes class. Let's take a look before I pee myself with excitement.
Packaging: MGE Quantum came retail packaged in it's own retail box. Listed amidst an overbearing logo were details, specifications, and features with pictures on the box sides. The shipping container was so large (37lbs!) I expected it to be double boxed, but it wasn't. Check out the monstrous proportions below:
Specifications: All of the Quantum's features can be found at XGBox's website.
Packing: MGE's Quantum comes plastic wrapped and covered on top and bottom with thick (very thick), dense foam covers. There was absolutely zero shipping damage to the case that I could see.
What You Get: This case came as you see it here. The looks are somewhat different, yet very nicely done in my opinion. What is striking at first glance is the absence of windows and the addition of meshed side panels on both sides of the case.
Inside the case I found a hardware box and tooless drive rails. The hardware box contained various standoffs, screws, washers, etc... along with two coin cell batteries (nice extra), some weird little push-pin type motherboard mounts, a tiny manual, and a backplane. |
