Mobile Edge SecurePackExternal Design: Mobile Edge's SecurePack is a pretty wide and long backpack. It has a distinct curvaceous design very similar to that of a turtle shell. The bag is available in either black with urban camouflage patches and orange trims or black with graphite patches and yellow trims. With either color option, the outer edge of the SecurePack is outlined with a sown in reflective strip. No real base is present on the SecurePack; therefore, the bag cannot stand upright when placed on the floor. The front bottom portion of the backpack has a patch of flexible plastic with dimple patterns, like that of a basketball.
The key distinguishing design of the SecurePack is that when it is worn, none of the bag's compartments are accessible. This is done by making almost all of the compartments of the backpack accessible via only a single zipper. This zipper is located at the back of the bag.
Beyond this main compartment there are only two other compartments that are accessible elsewhere. One of these is a media player compartment that is located at the top of the bag. This compartment features a headphone cord pass-through slot. Though accessible separately from SecurePack's main compartment zipper, the media player compartment's access zipper too is located in a secure, out of sight location - behind the bag's top flap. Accessing this zipper requires undoing two buckles at the top of the bag and pulling back the flap.
The other separate accessible compartment on the SecurePack is hidden on the left side of the bag. This compartment houses a pull out mesh water bottle holder. Naturally, any bottle of water that you put in the holder will be susceptible to theft, but if somebody is thirsty enough to steal your bottle of water then you should probably let them ;-).
The back panel of Mobile Edge's SecurePack as well as the underside of the shoulder straps are well padded and upholstered with breathable mesh. At the tip of each shoulder strap is a long mesh compartment; useful for holding cell phones and such. The SecurePack is also equipped with a buckled waist strap which should appeal to motorists as well as cyclists and skaters. It keeps the bag extra secure on your back. The final touches on the SecurePack include a neoprene covered handle at the top of the bag and nylon zipper cords with big molded tips on all the zippers.
