9 new HDTVs from Samsung
Samsung Electronics America, Inc., today announces the prices and market availability for its new range of Flat-Panel TVs, LED HDTV Series 8000, 7000 and 6000. The new barrage of LED HDTVs uses edge-mounted LEDs as their primary light source rather than traditional Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps (CCFL). The ultra-thin and wall-friendly HDTVs have substantially decreased energy consumption, features Auto Motion Plus™ frame interpolation technology and fast refresh rates to reduce motion blur and image judder. It also features a 120Hz (6000 and 7000 series) / 240 Hz (8000 series) refresh rates, SRS TruSurround HD™, and InfoLink™ RSS (6000 series)/Medi@2.0™, Internet@TV for Content Service with Yahoo! Widget Engine, Content Library™ (for 7000 and 8000 series). All units will roll out between March - June 2009 and range between $3,999.99 from the 55-inch 8000 series to $1,599.99 to the 32-inch 6000 series.
