Nissan has taken another step ahead on having cars to drive themselves. They are developing a system that is able to alert the driver if they are headed into the wrong lane, if they should slow down on a downhill stretch, or if they are approaching a congested area which is based on a cellular-connected GPS unit. Apparently, this system is co-developed with the West Nippon Expressway Co. (or West NEXCO). No more details about it has been released but Nissan has promised to demo the system as soon as everything is ready.
