Sony Goes Sleek Obelisk With Mini Audio System

Sony is preparing to launch its new CMT-Z100iR a mini audio system with a dock for iPod, iPhone and iPod touch. The CMT-Z100iR sports a subdued and sophisticated design and is compatible for audio playback on a CD through a top-mounted slot-loader. It is supported by a set of 20 W x 2 speakers and a S-MASTER digital amplifier, as well as an FM/AM radio tuner. The Sony CMT-Z100iR offers Audio-In and a USB port for connecting other multimedia devices likes a personal media player. No official word on the release date or price as yet, but we’re looking at a May release with a price tag of around $150-200.
