Freecom launched the ToughDrive Sport, an external Plug and Play hard drive with a capacity of up to 500 GB that is ideal for outdoor use. The unit features a durable shock-resistant 2.5-inch external hard drive designed to withstand a 2 metre drop. Aimed at heavy duty users that want to carry their data on the move, the ToughDrive Sport features a loop in one corner so that it can be attached to a bag or the like. The hard drive comes integrated with a USB 2.0 cable designed to look and feel like a climbing rope and offers a Turbo USB 2.0 connection and password protection. The ToughDrive Sport is available now in Europe in 250GB, 320GB and 500GB, priced at 109 euros, 129 euros, and 169 euros.
