Ninja Budget Case (cont.)Interior:
The inside of the case is very basic. This internal design is used a lot. There are six 3 1/2 bays, four internal. In front of the internal bays is a LED 80mm fan, just like the intake fan on the case's door. All the metal is rolled over so you will not cut yourself.
Drives and expansion cards must be screwed in. A bag of screws is provided. There are also knock out plates in front of all but the very top external drive bays (3 1/2 and 5 1/4 bays).
The best feature of the interior is the PSU bracket. There is a ledge in the back where the power supply screws in. Unlike most cases, there is also a ledge on the back side of the case. I like this dual ledge design for I always worry a heavy PSU won't be supported with just one ledge and some screws. Of course, no power supply has ever fallen on me, so a single ledge seems to work just fine.
As you notice, there are no rear 80mm fans. I recommend putting at least one in. In fact, removing the front of the case shows that the front fan grill can support a 120mm fan. Maybe getting a 120mm and moving the 80mm to the back would be a good choice.
Little extras really defined a budget case. I was impressed at the way with which the placement of the side fan really lit up the case. These fans aren't that loud either. I would say they are around 27 dba.
The front of the case also lit up quite well. The LED fan behind the metal mesh grill made the bottom appear like a ninja's mask. I like this theme. To note, if you go with that 120mm fan, you might want to make sure it has LEDs. Conclusion: For a budget case, the Ninja is a great choice. It looks awesome if you like the metallic look. The window also looks great but has some scratches. I will assume this is an isolated incident for the window is very well protected and nothing was loose in the case. You can make up your own mind on this one. The cooling is good, but a rear fan would have made it excellent. A thank you goes out to Crazy PC for sending us their Ninja case. Pros:
