OKGear OK800 5.1 Channel Surround Sound HeadphoneProvided By: Xoxide A while ago, personal surround sound was only achievable with stereo headphones paired with special "virtual surround" software. As sophisticated as the software was, the resulting effect was unimpressive due to the natural limitations of stereo headphones. Then came the Zalman Theatre 6 headphones. Theatre 6 was a monumental achievement in personal surround sound because it was a pair of headphones that featured three strategically placed speakers in each earpod. This meant that the surround sound was coming from 6 actual speakers and not just some software trick.
Since the release of Zalman's Theatre 6 headphones, a few other "real" surround sound headphones have appeared on the market. One of them is the OKGear OK800 5.1 Channel Surround Sound Headphones. Just what does the OK800 bring to the table and how does it compare to the Theatre 6? Read on and find out. Packaging: The OK800 headphones come packaged in a fully decorated box. The front of the box features the product's name along with an icon-paired list of the headphone features.
The left side of the box lists the System Requirements, Package Contents, and a Precautions notice about hearing loss. The right side of the box displays the Specifications table. The top of the box has a brief paragraph on how to use the OK800 headphones.
The back of the box back of the box features an introduction to the headphones along with a features list, functions list, and a diagram of one of the speaker orientation inside the OK800's earpod.
Inside, the headphone is folded up and rests in a plastic frame.
