The picture was amazingly clear, something we'll check thoroughly later using the included MagicTune Software. Furthermore, the blacks were just that, black! Nice. </p> <p align="left">All settings are done automatically, and the display adjusts all by itself<br> within seconds of power-on. I saw no need to change the settings it chose for me, but the included Magic Tune software is a breeze should you ever decide to "tweak" the settings. There's even a "Wizard" to walk you through it. This is truly the easies that it can be.</p> <p align="left">MagicTune will only work on Windows. If you have a Mac or Linux, you will not be able to tune the LCD display.</p> <p> <b>Testbed</b> <ul> <li>Gigabyte 8IGX Mainboard</li> <li>Intel Pentium Four 2.4ghz CPU</li> <li>MagicTune 2.0</li> <li>A Total Of Four People Repeating These Tests</li> </ul> <p> The first MagiTune test was for brightness. This one went without a hitch. The 173P isn't stuck at a<br> native resolution like many LCDs. It has an a a wide range from 800 x 600 all the way up to 1280 x 1024.</p> <p align="left">DVD's looked more clear than ever before in all resolutions as well. The<br> Matrix never looked better.</p> <p align="left"><b>Conclusion</b>:</p> <p align="left"> Big thanks goes out to <a href="http://www.samsungusa.com/" target="blank">Samsung</a> for providing this product for review. This display was soooo good, I can't wait to get my hands on their next flagship.</p> <p align="left"> A bit of warning to the frugal, this isn't for you. This display is sold out and backordered all over the USA. Even if you do find one, expect the $600 dollar range. If you shop around, you may be able to get one for $550 which is what Samsung's flyer mentions. On the other hand, it's totally worth it. No ghosting and the quick response time alone would make this a gamer's delight.
