Sunbeam Samurai Gaming Case (cont.)Exterior:
When looking at the Samurai case, you first notice is its name-sake styled plastic front panel. The tapered drive bay door features decorative details, which draw attention downward to the case's white rimmed blue "eye" that serves as the power button. When powered up four LEDs illuminate the eye.
Surrounding the eye is the HDD LED, reset button, front intake vents, and additional aggressive 3D front panel details. Behind the slightly brittle bay door are five 5.25" drive bays and one 3.5" drive bays covered with basic bezels. Located just over the front right edge of the case are the "front" ports featuring two USB 2.0 ports, a MIC, and a headset port.
While the front panel is plastic, the rest of the case is comprised of steel and an acrylic window. Sunbeam's Samurai case sports a basic paint job that most people will find satisfactory. The left side panel features an acrylic window that is divided into three sections by idiosyncratic steel patterns. Also, on the side panel is an 80mm fan port covered by an awesome chromed plastic "swirling ninja star" styled fan grill. To the left of the fan grill is a groove that eases side panel removal.
The right side panel is not completely barren. It features a long rectangular patch of vents across the horizontal middle along with its own easy panel removal groove.
The bottom of the Samurai case is unpainted and features a designated spot at each corner to accommodate the included plastic feet.
The back of the case features the standard assortments including a power supply bay cutout, I/O plate, 7 expansion slots (bottom six covered), and two 80mm fan vents. Two standard screws secure the right panel, while the left panel is secured with 2 thumb screws which provides the tool-less environment.
