Sunbeam Samurai Gaming Case (cont.)Interior:
Continuing the tool-less environment, the interior has a tool-less drive bay and expansion slots. Samurai's drive bays use simple to operate sliding plastic rails on the left side of the drive bays. For those who insist on securing drives down with screws, the plastic rails allow for it.
The expansion slots each feature a simple tool-less expansion card security design that is compatible with (as far as I have tested) every expansion card. Although, how secure the cards are is questionable.
Above the motherboard section of the interior panel is a tab that offers support to the power supply. Though not attached, motherboard standoffs are included. Other minor accessories included are various screws, plastic case feet, an extra expansion slot cover, and an EMI ring.
In the back of the case is a dual 80mm fan cage. Sunbeam includes one Molex powered fan. No information is given on the fan but it is rather quiet. I think it puts out about 27dB of noise.
One aspect of the Samurai I like is its front audio port design. Instead of using motherboard headers, the audio ports feature standard stereo and phono plugs to make them compatible with any and all sound cards.
Just about every edge of the interior is rounded or folded to help minimize chances of getting cut. The only exception is the power supply cutout. Great care should be taken when working around it.
Conclusion: Sunbeam's Samurai is certainly not a boring case. After all, how many cases appear to be looking back at you. In addition to the aggressive front panel capped off by the oversized illuminating power button, this case features a distinctive side window and fan grill. But this Samurai is more than just about looks; its tool-less design makes this one of the easiest cases to use. Overall, the Sunbeam Samurai gaming case is a wonderful choice for those looking for a unique and easy to use case. Pros:
