SkyHawk BAX-B5602 Computer Case (cont.)Interior:
The inside of the BAX-B5602 case offers nothing special in terms of peripheral accommodations. The drive bays at the front of the case all require screws for drive security. All the drive bays are separated by small tabs which slightly eases drive installation because the drives can lie on the tabs while you are securing them. The area in front of the 3.5" drive bays is able to accommodate either an 80mm or 120mm fan.
The back of the case features a snap-in 120mm fan cage, which is occupied with a 120mm Molex powered fan. This fan is quite powerful meaning it can move a lot of air, but is also noisy. Above the fan is a tab which offers subtle support for a power supply. As mentioned earlier, though expansion cards are installed in the case, they are screwed down outside the case.
Also, as mentioned before, BAX-B5602 case features the Rotary Adjustable Cooling Pipe system on its left side panel. This system features a standard length-extendable CPU wind guide. However, rather than being mounted to a fixed location on the side panel, this wind guide is mounted on a two-level rotating platform. With this rotating platform, the wind guide can be situated from the top left corner to center of a motherboard and anywhere between and around.
The rotating platform is made of light purple transparent plastic and can be somewhat considered a case window. Though the Rotary Cooling pipe system greatly increases the chance of compatibility with motherboards, you still have to remember that this will only work with CPU coolers whose fan is located parallel to the motherboard such as stock coolers. That really is not much of an issue considering this case is marketed towards people who would use stock coolers anyways.
To further decrease the weight of the case, the motherboard tray features various cutouts. All the edges of the interior are either folded or rounded to help minimize chances of getting cut. Conclusion: SkyHawk's BAX-B5602 case is about as basic as computer cases get though it is equipped with some interesting and noteworthy features. Its patent Sideslip Door is a nice idea and should prove to be very useful for anyone who likes to keep the front door on the computer open for long periods of time. Its lightweight construction is useful for anyone who moves there computer a lot. Lastly, its Patent Rotary Cooling Pipe system will greatly increase the chances of being able to actually use the CPU wind tunnel. Pros:
