Thermaltake Tribe External Liquid Cooling SystemDescription: Essentially, Thermaltake's Tribe External Liquid Cooling System is simply Thermaltake's Big Water Liquid Cooling Kit, but with the main components (radiator, reservoir, and pump) enclosed in a generously sized enclosure. The black clad enclosure is made up of an aluminum modular frame with steel mesh sides. The base of the enclosure has four rubber feet for stability.
The back of the Tribe enclosure features two water tube ports (In, Out), a DC power port, and a knob which controls the speed of the radiator cooling fan.
The mesh side panels are secured to the frame with steel corner brackets. The brackets that secure the top panel are secured with thumb nuts, so the top panel can be easily removed. Also, at the top of the enclosure are two thick aluminum handles. These handles make the task of moving the Tribe much more convenient. The handles are also secured with thumb nuts; therefore, they can be easily removed.
Both the top panel and handles are easy to remove because, during the installation process, they need to be.
Inside the enclosure, the 12cm radiator and accompanying LED fan are mounted at the front, while the reservoir and pump each occupy a corner at the back. The three components are all securely connected to each other with black rubber tubes. I would estimate the three components along with all the tubes occupy less than 40% of the enclosure's interior leaving a lot (to say the least) of unoccupied room.
As with the other components, the Thermaltake Tribe's waterblock is the same as the Thermaltake Big Water's. The waterblock consists of a thick copper base topped by an equally thick LED embedded acrylic top. Rather than multiple fins, the inside of the waterblock features a "pipe" like flow canal, which liquid flows through to remove heat from the block.
Other things included with the Tribe are two generously long transparent UV water tubes, a big bottle of UV coolant, an "easy fill" squeeze bottle, a small packet of thermal paste, and all the waterblock mounting brackets and screws.
Also, included is a power cable with DC plugs on both ends and an expansion bracket which adapts a DC port to a Molex plug. The expansion bracket also has two holes which allow water tubes to pass in and out of the computer case. Lastly, a colored User's Manual is included, which includes well documented and pictured installation instructions.
