Portable entertainment has come a long way since the
days of the Walkman; with current staple being the mp3 player. There
are two main categories of mp3 players: flash based and hard drive
based. Each category of players has their strengths and weaknesses.

While mp3 players are the current "it" device,
the future of portable entertainment is moving towards the PVP (Portable
Video Player). Believe it or not, PVPs also come in the two different
storage based categories. Though hard drive based PVPs are getting
the most attention in the press, flash based PVPs do exist. One
such unit is the Mpal 400 Ultra Compact AV Player from the Korean
company Toodis. Just what exactly is a flash based AV player capable

The Mpal 400 comes packaged in a film themed retail
box. The front of the box has a list of features on the left side
and a cutout on the right side allowing you to see the player inside.
The back of the box features specifications tables and a product
information list.
Inside, the Mpal 400 and all the included accessories
are enclosed in plastic bags and held in place on a plastic base
with a blister cover.
