Vantec NexStar LX NAS StorageProvided By: Vantec It's been a few years since I reviewed Ximeta's NetDisk. I have used this product extensively, but had issues with it. Finally, the issues became too annoying to continue use with this product and I basically now use it as a USB drive. I loved the idea and that is why when Vantec hit me up to review NexStar LX NAS Storage I was excited. NAS storage is perfect for the home or even small businesses. Shares are accessible even if other computers aren't turned on in the network. Hopefully, Vantec's NexStar LX NAS Storage works like a NAS storage unlike the NetDisk.
Packaging: Vantec sent the NexStar NAS Storage in a plain brown box with Vantec's logo on the side. Inside, the orange retail box was surrounded by packing peanuts.
On front of NexStar NAS storage's retail box is a shot of the white NexStar. On back of Vantec's retail box are the specifications, contents and features for the NexStar LX NAS storage. There is also a mini diagram showing the NexStar's application in a network.
Each side of the NexStar's retail box has a shot of the NAS storage case. On the right side the picture is accompanied by the system requirements.
Opening the box shows the Vantec NexStar and its components wrapped in plastic and surrounded by cardboard.
Features: Features for Vantec's NexStar NAS storage can be found on Vantec's web site.
