XPER X-Armor ATX Case (cont.)
The X-Armor comes with a dual fan 420 watt power supply. Ratings and voltages are as follows:
A nice four LED 120mm XPER fan makes up the rear exhaust. Unfortunately, the PCI slots were not tooless in nature, though I can certainly live with that.
There's another XPER 120mm LED fan up front. It pushes some nice air through the system. Airflow is not a concern with this case.
With all the drive bays available, RAID comes to mind with this case. With that 120mm fan flowing fresh air over your drives, it would be a great setup. Noticeably gone is a horizontal strengthening bar. Even without this, the case retains it's structural integrity and is surprisingly strong without flex.
Fit And Finish: Fit and finish were both strong areas with this case. Tight tolerances and nicely finished edges are a definite plus, especially in a mid-budget case. The paint was nicely finished, but would benefit with a little more shine.
Conclusion: The X-Armor has a great classic design and with the
introduction of 120mm fans, it is quiet and cool. Mesh up front
is a nice touch, though the paint job could use a little more shine
to it. At this price point, it's nice to see any PSU, let alone
a decent one. This one is definitely decent.
