The idea is that your heatsink's fan will be inside the funnel or right under it. This allows cool outside air to cool your CPU instead of warmer air from inside the case. This idea can cool your CPU 3 to 5 C better from what I have seen with similar designs. Of course, this doesn't help cool your video card. You will also have to make sure the cooler will fit in the funnel. Some new heatpipe coolers may not. If not, you can remove the funnel and mount an 80mm fan here. It is very reflective and will finger print; therefore, be careful when touching it. On top of the case is nice looking Aspire fan grill. It looks sweet to. Two USB and one FireWire ports exist on a silver triangle. Also, in the triangle is a fan controller knob. This is a nice added feature for it fits right in and is easy to access.
