ZeroSpyware 2005 Anti-spyware Program (cont.)Interface: ZeroSpyware 2005's interface is very visually appealing and nicely laid out. All of the program's functions are organized in different panels which can be accessed from big icon tabs on the top of the window. The entire program is laden with mouse over effects which really give it a lively feel. There is even an option to allow very cool transitions when going from panel to panel. This, of course, is left as an option for it slows the program down on older computers.
The first and main panel ZeroSpyware starts on is the System Status panel. Here key information and settings are displayed. The next panel is the Spyware Scan panel. This panel allows you to launch a full spyware scan (though the System Status panel can also do that). Other settings in this panel included setting up scan schedules and viewing past scan results.
The next panel is the Real-Time Protection panel. Here, your computer's processes, browser plug-ins, and cookies are being monitored. Information about any and all of these things that are currently running on your system is displayed.
The next panel is the Spyware Prevention panel. Here are all the various settings and components of ZeroSpyware that help prevent spyware from affecting your system. This is where the Vulnerability Scan is located.
The next panel is the General Settings panel. Here all the various simple miscellaneous settings are grouped. This panel also features the option to check for updates and report unknown applications.
The next panel is the Remote Restore panel. Here is where you can launch the Remote Restore live chat session. Also, on this panel are various diagnostics and tools to help you better managing your system.
Lastly, there is the Help & Support Panel. Here you can launch the Extreme Support live chat session. Also on this page are links to ZeroSpyware's online help and FAQ pages.
