Since I installed it, I have not had any new spyware on my system. I did find its full spyware scanning speed to be rather slow, though very thorough and accurate. On my system (P4 3.3Ghz, 1Gb memory, 200Gb 8mb cache hard drive about 70% full) it completed a full scan in 25 minutes. Comparatively, on the same system, Ad-Aware SE Personal completed its full system scan in 11 minutes. I ran Ad-Aware first and it found had three false positives (files it thinks is spyware but is really not). I did find that on occasion, the program had trouble establishing a connection even though my Internet connection was fine. While that issue is usually resolved by just waiting a few minutes and trying again, I have noticed it cuts off long update sessions forcing me to click reconnect to resume the update. This can be a problem for anyone who likes to be away from their computer during these updates.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:</strong></p> <p> Based on my experiences, I would say ZeroSpyware 2005 is one of the most complete anti-spyware programs available today. Though its spyware scan engine is not the fastest available, it is perhaps the most accurate and thorough. It also has a great Vulnerability scanner which makes keeping all the software in your system updated as easy as can be.</p> <p> Perhaps the main reason ZeroSpyware 2005 is better than other programs is the amount of support it offers. Offering live assistance at any time, ZeroSpyware will help you solve your spyware problems when you cannot solve them on your own.
